In addition to his brief driving career (I believe warmups one night), Sven Heiden was Karl Freyer's first car owner. Sven was injured right before 1977 season, so Karl drove his car until he was better, winning a rookie feature. Sven immediately decided driving wasn't for him. One of the smartest guys you ever meet. Went to school with him, cool guy, and Heidi is a great young lady. |
