Deyo has run them under the STSS banner as far southwest as Texas and Louisiana. All of New England and most of the Mid Atlantic States have held races in the past for the Northeast style (center steering) Dirt Modifieds. |

Dirt Modifieds run weekly in N.J. New York, P.A., Delaware. Ohio. I might be missing another state. Then add on all the traveling shows. |

Raceway 7 in N.E. Ohio is the only weekly track that I know of in Ohio. There are a couple tracks running those mini modifieds. |

My comment for Ohio might be wrong. I thought they still ran Big Blocks at Sharon Ohio, need someone to confirm. They may have dropped the class recently. Add Vermont's Bear Ridge Speedway for weekly Dirt Sportsman. As far as Asphalt Modifieds, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, P.A. |

They don't run BBmods at Sharon anymore, just gyppo mods, maybe a specal couple times a year and that when i go!! |

In the site "Florida Racing Memories" under Pee Wee Griffin's name, you'll see a photo of a 80s looking hot rod #6. I've been told that this car was driven by Pee Wee in Texas sometime after his drug trafficking conviction and prison time. BTW, this site is another great source of old photos of drivers and their cars from the past. The site includes other drivers that ventured north besides Griffin. Scott Ely |

As a kid, I was a mid-1970s regular for "modified coupes" at the 3/8ths dirt raceway 7 in ne ohio, just over the line from pa. Still many coupes then, for example Dale Hartshorn #5, but gremlins, tom johnson #47 & jack andrew #2, plus a cool low profile monza Bob Stanford #98, and pintos. This was great stuff, don't know how long it went on. |

Sharon Speedway ran the BB Modifieds 5 times this year. We had been down to only one time/year. Great track to race on, so we were glad to have more races. The Rush Sportsman mods race there almost weekly. |
