For those who have a knack for noticing things like this... thank you for the emails that I received and the kind words in recognizing that November 13th 2023 is actually the 21st Anniversary of 3 Wide's Picture Vault.  (It snuck up on me too!)

No kiddin'....  Check out the bottom of our homepage ( www.3Wides.com ) and you'll see:  Born on date November 13, 2002!

So here's what I hope those of you reading this, who over the years... whether you've only been tuning in for a handful of years... or for those who have been here for the duration... will all please consider making a donation of $21 to this year's Matheny Christmas Party, as a way of recognizing the 21 years that we've been bringing the Vault to the internet, for all to enjoy, and for all to remember some of what we'll always feel are the greatest days of short track racing.  If $21 is not in this year's budget, that's ok... please support in any way you can...  It is all very, very much appreciated, and Kevin and his elves will do all the work behind the scenes to make sure that what is received will help make this year's event a special one.

Joe-  This site, and the people I've met thru it, have renewed my interest in "Saturday night racing".   I confess that I miss the 60s/70s hot rods I grew up but this site keeps those "golden years" alive for me.  I've learned so much stuff about various drivers and/or their race cars that I didn't know previously.  Besides the great photos of drivers and race cars from the past, the 3Wide site has given me the opportunity to develop racing friendships with the likes of Mr. Kevin Eyres, Don Wolfe, and you Joe.  Not to sound corny, but I thoughly enjoy the conversations that you, Don and myself have had at the track.  At the last year of Bridgeport's 5/8s track, 3Wide took me directly down a path right to Kevin, and from that meeting I've come to support the Matheny Christmas Party in any way I can.  That chance meeting with "Mr. Eryes" also led me to getting Flo Racing (I told him that Flo should "shoot" him a commission sales check).   3Widers, enjoy this great site.  I've not found another like it!  Scott Ely

Congrats, Joe...wow, 21 years! Wonderful to keep up with racing news & friends I don't see often. Waiting for the Matheny gift list so I can finish shopping for my person.  For those of you who have never attended the Christmas gathering at the school...it's a great afternoon with the wonderful people & the hard-working staff. Just keep the snow away!!!
