Looking for driver ID for this one.  The good news is that as you can see, he walked away from this one.

Thanks Butch.  For some reason I locked in on the one picture that had what looked like a strange header coming out of just one side and thought it was a midget and never gave it any additional thought.

Does anybody have a URC driver roster for what I'm guessing was probably around 1977 or so?

The car says "Bainbridge Auto Supply - Bainbridge NY" and I think it says DeForest Body Shop MT Upton NY on the hood.  There's also a cartoon of Sylvester the cat on the side of the car.

Here's a better view:  https://3widespicturevault.com/Nelson_Ivins_Pics&VITALS/T11.19.23_023_UNK_FLM_0070_IVINS_5.htm

Around 1972-73, can't believe there's actually somebody not running a wing. Definitely not Todd Rittenhouse, but the number 7 is Don Maxson's car, I'll ask his son Jim.

Thanks Rick - The negative was in with a bunch of others (same envelope as the one where you were scooting around in the #62, ducking under a flipping car between turns one and two, which I think was from the late 70's, right?)

They weren't really in any type of order, and no date/driver info accompaning them.

Jim Maxson told me that Jack Adair (driving his Dad Don's number 7), ran Poole up the track into the fence. Don was really pissed at Jack. Don and crew helped Poole load the car, 1974. Jim would later become a driver and car owner in URC and KARS.

It was 1979 the crash I avoided in same spot, only to crash there on the ensuing restart. Be neat to see pictures of that one.

Another question. Was Billy Pauch Sr ever part of the Milford Fire and Resque squad? Looks like him, the kid with the hat, in pictures 9-15.

That's not Billy Pauch in the hat. I believe it's Ray Bellini. I was in the Milford Fire Co. in the mid 70's and he was also a member.

Rick - I went back and realized that somehow I didn't include the picture of you in the #62 avoiding the accident between Timmy Pauch, Ray Kozimore, and Bill Copcutt between turns 1 & 2 at Flemington IN the main site, in the Nelson Ivin's section.

Here's the picture and the link:

Link to the sequence:  https://3widespicturevault.com/Nelson_Ivins_Pics&VITALS/S06.05.22_32A_077_FLM_0070IVINS_004.htm  (You'll see that I added the picture of you in the #62 at I think the right point in the sequence, 7th picture from the top.)

I don't think I have pictures of the crash than you mentioned happening on the next restart.  Let me know who else was involved in it and I'll double check.

Joe Thanks for posting the entire sequence. I only ever saw three top photos of this wreck. I have the URC year book with this crash. It was a very long ride home with Dad and Jack yelling at each other. We only broke the W-link on the car. A wreck that should have never happened. Emotions sometimes get the best of everyone.

I know the feeling about arguing on the way home after a bad night. 1985 running URC at Bridgeport, Rod Hanna driving my car, crashed with Jim Fowler in consi. Rod and his brother Jeff got into a shouting match on I-95 on way home, a lot of things came out in that argument (discovered that Jeff had actually bought the engine in the car, not Rod). When we got home they got out to open garage, I turned around and said to Rod's new girlfriend "Them two are a lot of fun together, huh"? She told me she was almost ready to tell me to stop on 95 and let her out, she'd hitchhike home!

Billy Pauch was never on Milford rescue squad. I do recognize Billy Corrigan, and a couple others look familiar. I sent Billy a couple pictures to see if he knows any other names.
