Here are some photos taken at Middletown in 1974 for the Eastern States race.This is when there were packed grandstands,drive in section and a pit load of cars.Also it was a one day show with just modifieds.I have the photos.

Earl Elzer in Whitey Kidd's 125 (former Schneider 3 window coupe ) entering the track behind the 73. Full grandstands, full drive in and tons of modifieds. The big show run all in 1 day. What a concept .

I was there in the main grandstand and you could actually see the whole track (limited dust and no high trailers in the infield).

Wow! I was there.

Anyone recall the early morning hours when the water truck tipped on its' side?

I too was there!  What an atmosphere!  Picked up a Frankie's Sausage Bar t-shirt before I headed home through the woods of northern New Jersey in my 1965 Chevy Impala.
