This Edition of Tuesday Night in Black & White is brought to you by with a "Thank You" to those who have already reached out to RJC/Kevin with your support for this year's Matheny Christmas Party, and with a reminder that if you haven't had a chance to support this year's event, things will be wrapping up soon (no pun intended), and the gift gathering process is now beginning...

As provided earlier by Kevin:

Great news, we have the lists and are delving them out. Plenty of electronics are needed, which means donations are very important.  Dontions are coming in nicely and we really appreciate it.

Bad news, we have to cancel the actual in person/with guests attending party due to CO VID flare ups at the school. So one more year, we hope, of dropping the gifts to the students without a Party. Thank goodness for Christmas in July this past Summer.  It was great to see many of the students again! Scott Ely and I will travel the state picking up gifts to deliver.

We will be dropping the gifts hopefully December 13th or 14th.  As always THANK YOU!!!

Checks or gift cards can be sent to:
RJC Charities

The # 31 sprint car, in the 3rd photo, belonged to Jim Campbell . Not sure who was driving on this day but I drove for him a few times at Bridgeport.

First pic car #88 might be John Bolanders car.. Frankie drove it for awhile and won quite a few.. The second pic car #616 im going to guess Leon Altamose from Center Square Pa..He had 3 or 4 cars all racing at one time..The numbers were#61? in order on them..All red..

 The #616 is Ron Stashek.

Howie, you are thinking of the Altemoses who drove the #662, #667, and other cars starting with the numbers 66. There is a picture of them in the vault.

Leon Altemose brought his whole fleet of 6 or 7 cars to a special mid week small block modified show at Bridgeport. Early 1980's? 99 cars in total. Might have been the "5 track series" race.

Hey Howie....  The car was orange, and had a # that was in the 600's....  Around here, that guess you had of it being part of the Altemose stable would still get you a solid B+  Laughing.

As for the Altemose cars, I think I rememeber a #662, #663, #667, and #669 (there might have been more.)  I think a driver named Dave Sassaman drove one.
