In picture #2, Ken Johnson in the yellow #64 Gremlin (love the luggage rack), and Bobby Ayres in the #69 coupe which might have been a former Dean Applegate #9a.

Phil Meisner's #17 front end in the 3rd picture just behind Sammy Beavers.

Look how cool Sammy Beavers looks holding a steady wheel inside the cockpit of the Norcia #81....  Doesn't get any cooler...  (It was impossible to go to Flemington and watch a Saturday night in the 70's and not feel like you had to go back every Saturday night from then on... dust or no dust... (mostly dust Smile)

My favorite years at Flemington....

The Frank Lauer car looks like it is from the early 80's. The cutouts in the rear body were done after Balough won at Syracuse. Also the hood and side sheet metal is too big for the 70's era.

Might be wrong but I remember Ken & Butch calling the car the screaming yellow zonker.

...what if all these years later they discovered that there was an aero advantage to having a luggage rack on your roof! Laughing
