Now that the dust is starting to settle, what did High Limits actually get by purchasing the All Stars?

HLs didn't keep the name, didn't retain a regional schedule or Ohio Sprint Week and let the staff go. They continue to pluck WRG employees.

I don't see the need to buy the All Stars and then create another national tour. The All Star series was a great regional tour. I don't think there are many that followed the entire All Star tour that would or could commit at the national level. Why didn't HLs just start another national tour?

Is FAST going to eventually step in and fill the gap left behind without the All Stars or will someone else? Seems this is ripe for the taking.

That's what I see sitting NC...

Frank - I have been following this deal from the start and I'm still scratching my head trying to figure it out I can't agree with you more - why they bought the all stars? - just to shut it down? - did Tony go to them first because the all stars weren't making any money or he lost interest in sprint cars- I makes me mad they didn't at least keep the name since they were the oldest traveling sprint series- do not have a clue

Hopefully there will enough good weather, car counts, streaming dollars and fan attendance to support all 3 of the big sanctioning bodies. I'm more of a modified guy but I still support most of the reasonable distance eastern swing events. Hopefully this wont backfire and we lose the ASCOC, but if it happens the car counts will increase in the other sanctioning bodies. Positive thoughts we will find out before midsummer how this plays out

The only reason I can see for buying the All Stars is to eliminate a major sprint tour. Makes the bigger teams or those looking to move up make a choice. Granted, High Limits was already started, but I think they didn't want to just be the All Stars, they wanted something new and supposedly better. Only time will tell if it's better. There are obviously some teams and drivers that aren't happy with the WoO, and a split has been tried twice before, USA in late eighties, and NST in early 2000s. Neither were successful, but the WoO wasn't what it is now. I may be wrong in that, but either way, we still get to see some great racing. 2023 will be an interesting season to be sure.

Listening to a few drivers, they really stress how good the schedule is.  It Scares me they talk of charters and the two owners driving in their own series. In a good way Kyle can't run all the races but in a bad way, Kyle can't run all the raced. Granted, Brad Sweet is a great sprint car driver, but should be pretty weird standing at the podium accepting the champions trophy at your own banquet. I'm not a fan of track owners kids racing at their track or race promoters racing in their own series.  Brett Hearn Big Show, Brett started on the pole from a draw a few times and won it. Hmmm.

I never thought it was a good idea Penske owning Indy and the series and still racing in it, Tony with the All Star, Andrew Krause at Wall and the Grosso's at New Egypt.

Did Frank Cozze ever win when he promoted Nazareth in its final years?

Remember 1 thing . When Kyle races he puts butts in the seats.

At Nazareth in 1988 I think Frank got more reverse discrimination than favors from his people

And after he wins Indy and the 600 on the same day, they can't make enough bleachers!

I'm in total agreement as to Mr. Eyres' thoughts regarding drivers who compete in events that they alos are the promoters.  Also not a fan of relatives that race at tracks that their families promote.  And please don't get mad at me, last time I looked we are all entitiled to our opinions.  Scott Ely
