Took me a while to figure out the picture of the guy that looks like Sammy Swindell, until he took his hat/hair off!

A few of them had me laughing out loud.

I watched almost all of the coverage on Flo....  Pretty much waited until Saturday (to watch the full replay of Friday), and then waited until yesterday (to watch the full alphabet soup/features that ran on Saturday.)  I scroll down the index screen on Flo so that I don't see any "spoilers" as to who won/who wrecked/etc.,.  It was about as close as I could get to watching the whole thing without actually taking a seat in the stands, and without knowing who was advancing, and who was winning.  Also learned some of the back stories on some of the lesser known drivers and about the event as things unfolded, including how it got the name "Chili Bowl."

Thanks Frank!!!  Bucket list item for me, you'll be my guide!   I will post bond in Tulsa before that trip for sure. 

The TMez drama was typical TMez!  He preaches slide or die and it bit him in the butt!

You got it! I'm looking into getting more than 2 tix for future Chili Bowls.

Got to meet Emmett Hahn. We were having lunch at a local diner when this guy comes up to our table and strikes up a conversation asking who we thought would win. Well the converstion keeps going until I ask if he is Mr. Hahn. Once we learned it was him, the conversation got even better.

In the end and very much to our surprise, he bought our lunch!!! Prior to him heading out he stopped by our table again and says, "any of you guys call me an SOB and I guess I'll have to buy." So I reply, "go on and get out you SOB" not thinking anything about it and the rest is history!

Thanks for the pics Frank . Ive always liked  the local indoor racing so we went to Chillie Bowl 2 years ago. The fumes almost killed me. Had tickets for all 4 days but after the first day , I only went back 1 other day for a couple of hours. Of course my son and the other young guys went all 4 days , morning til night ,no problem.
