I wasn't sure who was in the #1b (Thought it might be Larry Bowers), so thanks for confirming that it's you.  Here's a little better view.

Are you wearing one of those Sam Brown belts or whatever they were called, or maybe something to keep you from leaning too far to the right long before there was full containment seats?

Thanks Howie.

I wore a Sam Brown belt with shoulder harness too..Im not sure but it could be larry?   looks too large for me.. I saw the belt in the first pic so I thought it was me..Also the rt side rubrail looks like its been bent or rebuilt differant than ours.. I ran it first time out and all was new...Later Larry bought my old first mustang body and It looked a whole lot better..He won a feature with the mustang body also at Flemington...JB was extatic with joy for Larry...1976 I believe?.........HtH

Good eyes John...That car was one of the non coilover cars...I think the winningest Burnett car was Newt Hartmans and I think it was same as larrys non coilover car...Not as pretty but handled well...

Lol, hate to keep correcting you Howie, but I think you mean Mark's car. Newt's car was coilover. Newt ran Mark's car at 1st, them Mark ran rookies with it.

Looking at it a little closer as you guys do, it looks like this picture from the 4th turn, with the #37J pulling into the pits off the forth turn, and a car in spun out in the background way over in turn #3.

Here's a zoomed in look:

I believe that Ritchie Varone drove for Kozimor in the mid 70's.

Vaguely remember driving to Nazareth with him when I was about 15 years old, the 37j did not last long this night. Being from NJ it was fun being allowed into the pits.

Rich Varone in the 37J in 1977. The following season Ron Harrison drove it, winning their and his only feature.

Thanks, it appears that my memory is not completely gone.

Did Ray Kozimor run the Flemington rookie in 79?

Yes, Ray ran rookies with us in 1979. According to him he ran the same body as the car I pictured, but it was a different chassis.

Not sure about the #888 (3rd picture from top, 2nd car) but my first guess was Bruce Hooper who usually drove the #08.

Kind of a guess here on the car behind the #888, but I'm thinking that it might have been Wayne Bullock in the "Seventy Six."

Pretty sure it's Tom Winchatz here, Dave Steffenhagen drove it some but he had a white full face helmet.

Thanks John. Wonder if this is the car he built after the white coupe?  Didn't Frank Klem flip that Winchatz car and had the terrible fire?
