I shared the front cover shot of the Gold Cross Magazine about a week ago with a promise to show the inside pages.  I posted them large enough to show the coverage and let you read them.  Barbara Blake from Flemington Rescue wrote the article.  Barbara is in the photon on page 12 (She is the one kneeling down over the driver, facing forward, wearing glasses).  Mike Romano, Bill Fennel, Tracy ?, Larry Lutz, and some others who were regulars on the rescue crew are featured.  My twin Keith and I were not there that day.  We went to a wedding and missed being in the shots.  You might note that some of the photo credits were from our friend Reverend Dan Shafer and Tom Johnson.  As noted, from the piece, it was the 1989 season.

Could it be possible......??????/

I was looking at the shots in the image with the car on its roof from the Gold Cross coverage and noticed the official standing outside the fence, looking in on the incident and it reminded me of a photo passed on to me by my brother Joey from his collection.  Given the similarity, I wonder if this one from Joey's stash happens to be a random photo of the same incident shot from another viewpoint.

Check out the proximity of the car to the Stepvan outside the speedway.  It sure seems uncanny that things match up.  How cool would it be if they were one and the same crash, and what would the chances be?

That's cool Kev.   It just might be.  Looking at the people on top of the motorhome, definately the same day, but they are in different positions, granted they could move around because that wreck had to be at least a half hour.  The one thing I see, is the angle of the car to the fence, but they may have rolled it. What are the chances of two similar wrecks at Flemington?, very good.

Per 3-wider Mark Flamisch -

"Richard Baker, Jr. of Hatfield, PA, making his first start in the racing this season, lost control of his car on the backstretch and hit the fence.  The car flipped over several times.  Baker was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for Observation."
