Pic #2. 3* Modified of Harry McConnell exiting turn 2 at EWS. Tobias Chassis. I may be mistaken, but I seem to recall seeing this car in competition at all 6 active NJ tracks at the time (early to mid 70's). Dirt: East Windsor, Flemington and Bridgeport. Asphalt: Wall, New Egypt and Atlantic City (P'ville). He was very competitive at all 6 tracks. Changed the tires (rims) and gear ratio for each track, however I do not think that they even touched any of the suspension settings! Might just be my all time favorite Northeast style Modified.

I'd like to do a slot car version of the McConnell 3 but I can't find a color picture of it. Does anybody have one?

Rick Lugg, color photo of the car can be found on page 4 in the 70's section of the vault.

Thanks very much. I've probably passed that pic a hundred times and didn't remember it being there.

I believe the cool looking # 10 coupe is Ray Liss at Windsor.  If you were to add a "B" (or is it "C") post to this hot rod,  it sure would resemble the '37 Chevy coupe version of Deasey's 707.  Scott Ely
