From Bridgeport

As the 2024 season approaches many new and exciting things are happening at Bridgeport Motorsports Park.
Dirt Track Digest.TV will be taking over the Media Rights at the Kingdom of Speed.

Before all the haters start hating.. We were notified that they have chosen to opt out of their contract for 2024, which they did have the right to do so. It was explained that they have chosen to go down a different path.

Their business is to gain new subscriptions and that after 3 years they have obtained what they are going to obtain along with the costs of production has risen significantly. That is all we will comment on this. Now we will focus on new opportunities and continued success at Bridgeport Speedway.

We felt for those folks that can not make it to the Speedway that do wish to have the ability to watch our amazing events from home still need an out let. We reached out to our friends at DTD, DIRT TRACK DIGEST.TV. We have put together a program that will allow our wonderful fans to watch us from their homes. More details will follow as we continue to release all the amazing things happening at Bridgeport for 2024 season.

Is that an actual press release or just a Fecebook post/Tweet/X or whatever it's called now?

Not very clear what they mean by "We were notified that they have chosen to opt out of their contract for 2024, which they did have the right to do so. It was explained that they have chosen to go down a different path."

Not sure if they are talking about Flo, and if so, if they are blaming Flo for the change.  Could have easily been clarified if they defined who is meant by "they."

Next time, please wait for an actual press release as I don't want to see us get drawn into 1/2 complete posts possibly from speedway representatives or not, that often cause more questions than they answer.

for the opening weekend on March 22/23 says to watch live on DTD. I searched for their Farcebook page (since there's no link on their site) and found the exact quote posted here with "Flo" listed as the source.

Here is the link on Dirt Track Digest FB page - https://www.facebook.com/dirttrackdigest

Doug Rose also posted it on their FB page and locked the comments. I don't care the way he wrote about Flo, that is probably just Hot Air.

Who knows in a few seasons maybe the North East Modifieds will only be carried on Dirt Track Digest TV.

Thanks for the clarification, but to be fair, I don't know who is doing the typing when it comes to the source cited, other than it is from Bridgeport Speedway (not sure who does their PR/social media updates) but I do understand now that Bridgeport will not be on Flo.

I'm a Flo subscriber.  I watched the Bridgeport replays last year at times.  Not having Bridgeport on Flo is a negative, but it won't result in me attending more often or less often in person, or in me signing up with Dirt Track Digest.

I was disappointed this year in Flo not carrying many of the California Sprint (NARC?) and Midget events as had been the case in 2022 (?).  I got use to watching the regulars run at tracks like Placerville, Merced, Stockton, Hanford and other tracks - seemed like there was always a couple to watch each week - so it was definitely a negative not having them available as often.  I found other stuff to watch.

It's a new business..(offering short track racing via streaming) and like any new business, it'll find its way, and will find it's value.  Right now, I still view Flo as good value, and if it ever gets to where I don't think it is a good value, I'll look to another service, or will get a new hobby.

Speaking of Flo, I do wish they'd find a way to get Chet to announce some USAC events this year as he definitely added to the entertainment value.

just like anything in racing - if its a good deal somebody always screws it up - weather its a series a race track a promotor - money saving rules they will screw it up so flo was a good deal - i new it was only a matter of time i guess i have just been around to long- just my opinion
