He may not have the big win seasons or the Championships to proove it but in my opinion Bobby Pickell was as good as any driver he raced against. Always fast in any car. Wish I had met him.

I remember it being really windy and freezing cold. Probably didn't mind one bit.

I was there that afternoon, then jumped in my heater-challenged 1965 Chevy Impala and headed down to Reading and watched Kenny Brightbill win the feature that evening. Doing those double headers early in the season were priceless times.

look how many people were there -wow - we went to reading that day [night] and that place was also packed= those were awsome days !!!
