The posted photos are of my builds of one of Bobby Rossell's #56 coupes and his early 70s Chevy hauler.  As I've said in the past, my builds are not as detailed as others that have found their way into 3Wide.  However, I think my models at least capture an era of Saturday night racing that we all loved.  Scott Ely

Nice work Scott.  I've never taken on the challenge of building a hauler - the cars are enough for me.

Thank you for sharing your fantastic model.

Great job.

The models that the guys post on 3 Wide are some of my favorite things to view.

Great work Scott! What kit did you use as a base for the hauler?

That's a really nice build. I've been making haulers in HO scale using 3D printed wheels and balso wood.

Thanks for the positive replies. Means alot to me. Rmlugg, your hot rod and hauler are fantastic! I think it was an AMT model of a 1971 or 72 Chevy pick up kit tha could also be built as a hauler with 2 single rear axles.  I built the hauler body you see out of sheet plastic (from Hobby Lobby) and went with dual rear wheels instead of 2 rear axles.  The Rossell racer started out as an MPC model called "'36 Wild One". The tires and rims are from Ron Coon Resins, the decals are from Polecat Decals, and the injected big block is courtesy of Steve Cameron.  Scott Ely

Thanks, not nearly as nice as your build! Sadly my lettering skills are disappearing.

It was 1968 Chevy with 396 in it.  Jerry Cranmer and his dad bought it from Bob and had it for years.Than sold it to Martin Truex Sr. Bob had changed the rear gear little bit higher and it Would fly down the road. Nice job PeeWeefan looks just like 1972/73 good times.

Thank you all for your postice comments!  The Chevy hauler was an MPC brand model, not AMT.  Scott Ely

P.S.  Mr. Eyres, I'm surprised you didn't comment on my photo skills, or there of.

Great job Scott. Reminds me of the days sitting in the parking lot at EWS watching to see who was there that night.

Steve-  Thats the photo I used for building the hauler.  Got another big block from you that I have to decide which hot rod (model) to put it in.  Scott Ely

Scott - Glad to see those kits getting used as opposed to taking up space in my parts drawer. You've inspired me to get back to work....too many unfinished projects.
