Talking with Tony Ferrante Sr., he figures he's owned around 15 cars. From 1959 to 1980 they built their own cars, around 9 cars.  Every other winter they built a new car. Bob Punzi joined him on the builds and a great team was formed. That's Bob in a few of the photos.

Thanks for posting Kevin. That's how racing was done 50 years ago. Although racing season was a bit shorter then, a winter was not a lot of time to acomplish the tremendous amount of work needed to build a car that way.

I often wonder if the sport would be better or worse had factory built cars never happened.

I think if you had to go to junkyards for parts and build your own car a lot of people would be lost its all about how much money you can spend now
