Tony Siscone in the Barney 14, maybe 1978, formed one of the top two owner/driver combinations ever at Wall stadium, the other being Gil Hearne/Tom Durkin.  They combined for 13 championships, Hearne 7, Siscone 6, from 1973 til 1991.

That is a nice crowd in the 4th picture on hand. It looks like it's from the Turkey Derby.

The Ford truck behind the #78, I think flipped on the backstretch. If I have the correct truck.

The 41 owner is Carl Smalles.  Kent drove it for about year or two.  If that is T.S. In the 14 at TD in 78, it the first time he drove it at Wall.

We probably raced together Shawn, I did'nt know that!  Trucks were a blast to drive!

Truck division was divided into two groups. About 8 guys from the North, who were farmers from Colts Neck and Freehold vs. the South Jersey guys, the 609er's.  We all did'nt get along at the time, but I have become pretty close with most of the Southern NJ guys since.  We should have a reunion, but I think it will get a little crazy!

Kevin, I don't think we ran together. I ran 5 or 6 races for John Core in the #78 truck in 1996. In 1997 I ran 4 or 5 races for Big Bruce Brennanstuhl in the #25 truck. I agree it was definitely north vs south and yes, I was a 609er! Lol. Definitely fun times running the trucks. If I recall correctly I think you ran trucks sometime after 1997?

Bernie Bailey and I bought that truck together because we saw how much fun they were having .  I think it was the end of 97.   Bernie won Turkey Derby that year in the first race out.  Very good truck that the Jost's had built.   Bought it for $5500 from Tim Stephan who bought from the Jost's.   Had a lot of fun with it and was pretty cheap to race because of the retread tires deal. We had a young guy, Artie Fariello, work on it and when we couldn't be there we let him race it.  He won in it too.  I think 6 different people won in that truck.  Good times and met a lot of good, hard racers doing it.  I wonder where all the trucks are now?
