My father raced at Morristown around 1950. I have color movies of the racing.

Good photos, would love to see more ... and the film footage that was mentioned.  I never got to see races at Morristown but knew a fellow that raced there, Steve Maciag and did a commissioned painting for him of his #59A coupe that raced at Morristown.

RuCu I think that's right about it being Tommy Elliot. The woman in the middle I'm pretty sure is Wally Campbell's widow. Must have been a tribute race for him of some kind.

I did the best I could to clean them up but I'm not the best at it. My father had a bunch of these from Mr Russamanno because he was the was from Whippany like us. The pictures are in not so great shape. I'm probably a little late posting these because they are from the early 50's and I'm not sure how many now can say they were there. About 5 or 6 years ago whenever Richard Petty was last at the Motorsports show my father had a nice talk with him about the night he came to Morristown Speedway to run I guess a dirt NASCAR race.

Here's a photo taken at the same time as the one above (Morristown).  The photo was provided to us by the late Ken Edsell, whose uncle Charles Zulla was the photographer.  From what I remember, the image was from a ceremony to remember Wally Campbell who lost his life in a sprint car in Salem IN in 1954.  When I originally scanned the image, I was told that it is Mrs. Campbell in the photo.

Does any one know who the guys on the right of the picture with the hardware are?  The guy with the glasses looks like Leonard from Big Bang Theory (Johnny Gelecki).

The guy in the glasses is N.J. driver Nick Nicolette. The guy on the right is NASCAR official Bob Sall. If Jeff Hardifer sees this he has a Charlie Zulla photo on the Campbell website with all the names.

My father always said it was Hully Bunn in the X. One of dad's favorites. Looking at the picture I think the guy to the far left (looking from camera guy) is track owner Joe Sorrano. Does anyone know who the driver is by himself holding the checkered flag?
