He was a great racer. On my first trip to the Daytona 500, was the same year his rear bumper mysteriously fell off ;>) R.I.P Bobby! |

In 79 Gene Coyle and I were at Daytona 500 went back to our hotel after a long day at the track , getting in the elevator Coyle goes to the soda machine i get in the elevator with this guy and its Bobby Allison, he had just wrecked the T Bird in practice we have a nice chat on the way up. he won the race on Sunday. Coyle never believed me but it happened Bob Turlip |

Bobby was my late Father's all time favorite Cup Series driver. I have a slide somewhere in my stash of stuff of Bobby standing by his Chevelle #2 at Trenton that my Father took. RIP Bobby! |
