Breezing through today's AARN and I see a couple of pics with the Rio Brother R10 from New Egypt.

Man, they have been in this game a long time. I remember G. Fitzcharles in the R10 at East Windsor!

He became my favorite as a kid on the dirt side!

I always liked the little #R10 Falcon that Glenn drove also.

Before that, Walt Olson drove a #R10 coupe.

Other drivers:  Gary Iulg, Fred Rahmer, Paul Fitzcharles, Howie Cronce and more....

There's a photo of the Rio brothers #39 Ford coupe in the 60s section , page 18.  Its mentioned in the comments that Jackie Evans won the Rios only feature at Reading in this hot rod.  Its also mentioned that Mose Moore and Budd Olsen (only once?) drove the 39.  And even the name "McCabe" was on this Rio #39 way back in the 60s.  Scott Ely

For obvious reasons I really admire the car owners that showed up over the years. Over time the great car owners have started to disappear. Drivers today seem to own the car as well as drive it. Don't know much about the Rio Brothers team but they certainly fielded good cars for many years.

I wonder who is involved with the Rio Brothers?  Frank Sr. was in a wheelchair last year at the Reading Reunion. Being wheeled in by Debbie and Freddy Rahmer. Maybe Frank Jr or grandkids are involved.

Wade Hendrickson in the R10 helped out running the track in. At NES after Saturday's shower.

A great name in racing.... and in a time when it is almost impossible to make one car stand out from another, I have to admit, that the 2025 version of the #R10 stood out from the rest of the pack on Saturday night at New Egypt (and as is seen in D Wolfe 358's post above.)

Well designed wrap/whatever... and great lettering style for the way the R10 is written.

That 36 Chevy was built by Jackie McLaughlin. It was red with a gold M-2 on it. He and probably Budd built in 64 to be raced in 65.

I was at Bridgeport in 2014 wandering around the pits with the camera. The R10 was brand new in its first race of the season (maybe the Wingate race?). The gentleman in the lawn chair asked me for a photo of the car. I asked for his email address, and he handed me his business card. He told me that he didn't use email and with his address on it. It was Frank Rio. Said he wanted to have a picture of it before it hit the track and got "beat up" Still have the card! This wasn't the picture I sent, but a shot of the crew & car.
