In an attempt to suppress my current bout of depression due to the rain. I  was searching for photos of my past favorite from the 60s and 70s, Pee Wee Griffin.  Don't ask me how I got there but I saw 2 Facebook posts stating that Pee Wee and Frankie Schneider each drove the Richard Marinelli M-1 at least once at Orange County in the mid 70s.  The supporting  photos were of Mulligan chassis Gremlins, although you can not tell if Pee Wee or Frankie were the drivers of these racers in the photos.  Can any of you 3Widers confirm that Pee Wee and/or Frankie each drove the Marinelli M-1?  If that's the case, its true, you do (or at least I did) learn something new every day.  Scott Ely

P.S. On days like today, thank God for (or Kevin Eyres as he turned me onto) FLO.

Leroy Amy drove the m1 a few times and I have a book about Nazareth that has a picture of the coach that says Bobby Pickell was driving it. The pictures you are referencing may be early in the season 75 76 before Wayne Reutteman came up from Florida, because he drove the coach and first gremlin(s).

I saw a picture of the M1 with Bentley Warren driving at Syracuse. I also remember Jimmy Horton in it at Syracuse. Brett Hearn in later years. Bob Bachman would know for sure.

One thing's for sure.  The Marinelli M-1, and the M-2, had a lot of different chauffeurs.  I think I saw where Dick Anderson was behind the wheel of the M-1 sedan.  I believe he was another of the Floridian invaders during the 70s.  Scott Ely

I don't know if Dick Anderson drove the m1 but he did used to keep his car at a garage in Bangor when he came up from Florida. I think it was a Texico station that was run by a family named Pittenger.

Pee Wee Griffin ran an Eastern States weekend race in the M1, but did not make the show. I saw a picture on Facebook, of Pee Wee in the M1 Gremlin at Orange County. It was easy to see that it was him with the open face helmet with the duck bill and goggles that he was wearing in the 70's. It may have been on his son Bruce Griffin's page.

Here's one with Kevin Collin's as the driver at OCFS. I believe 1979 or maybe 1978?
