In some cases we think we know who they are, but thought we'd post these to see if the info on the back of the photos matches what you guys come up with.

Also, we're always interested in hearing what other comments/thoughts you guys have when it comes to "Miscellaneous Mondays."

I believe the 74 is Charlie Marty in a Liss chassis car.

Any info on Charlie Marty? I went to school with his nephew and don't recall ever hearing his name pop up here. Since you always seem to have knowledge especially on Flemington drivers maybe you can shed some history on him.

Thanks, Rich

The 16 looks like the size of a Silver Crown car, maybe smaller.

The #9 car is one mean looking Hot Rod! THAT is what a stock car is all about!

The 74 was a Charlie Marty car, Liss Chassis. It is the one I bought as #28 in pieces and made the 3 Statewide Gremlin replica out of.

Jeff - There's a possibly funny story here....  If you don't mind, did you buy the car as just a frame, or was it a roller?  Also, if you don't mind, give me a ballpark of how much you paid for it at the estate sale....  The reason I ask is because I have a funny story here directly from Ray Liss when he heard the car resurfaced and was sold back then, but I want to sure I've got most of the story correct!

Thanks Jeff-

I recall that Bob Cass (owner of the cool looking #9 sedan) was an official (pit steward?) at Windsor back in the 60s and 70s.  Scott Ely

Frank Cozze bought the J & J Balancers big block out of the 74/28. It definitely wasn’t a roller as helped Rich Polenz pull the rear out of it when he bought it.
