Here's another "Bet You Can't Name Just One" Trivia questions for you guys...  Remember, we ask that you provide just one answer for now in order to give others who check into the board later a chance to get involved to..

For those like me that prefer to look at pictures of racecars on an actual monitor instead of a phone, here's a good one for you... Its a great East Windsor image from photographer George Koyt/George Koyt Collection, as the cars head back to the pits...

Here's a better look at the 6 cars closest to the camera:

...and here's a better look at the rest of them:

So, what one car/driver can you name:

  • Car #__________
  • Car Color or Body Style______________________
  • Driver's Name__________________

Thanks for playing along with our trivia question on this rainy weekend here in the Northeast.

I think the orange sedan (right, 7th car up from bottom) is Eddie Mumford's Z-8.  I'm thinking Eddie's "orange crate" was a 1936 or 37 Chevy sedan.   Scott Ely

Most of them look familiar but I can't remember the names. What struck me was the memory of starting a lot of sportsman heat races in the 70s with almost that many cars trying to qualify. The track was usually pretty wet and slippery for the sportsman heats in those days too.

Roger, do you think that could be Kenny's #777 coupe three cars ahead of Eddie Mumford's Orange Crate sedan?

#92 Craig Patterson

Craig had "Michalchuk's Auto Service on his deck lid.  Al's car was blue with a white roof and Craig's was white with a blue roof.  Somewhat similar # style also as Al's #292 from back in 1973.

I met Craig while I was working at Lawrence Engineering. He and Al were restoring an old sprint car.

Later on I saw Craig with his sprint car running around different tracks in central Pa with EMMR.  I never knew he ran a sportsman car back in the day.

I don't think Craig drove more than a handful of races in that coupe, but he and Al were longtime friends.  Sadly, Craig passed away in Jan 2026.  He had moved to Florida at some point a few years ago, and I would see him usually when he was back up in NJ visiting each year.

I think the red, white and blue car might be "Jim Lawrence."  I remember that name with a red, white and blue car, but thought the # might have been #123, but it doesn't look like that # in the picture, so I'm not sure.

Here is what you all came up with when it was a trivia question back in '08.

We asked: How Many Can You Name?

ANSWERS RECEIVED: Craig Paterson #92, possibly Sonny Yetmen #007, Bill McConnell #27, possibly Wayne Reutimann #3 and Eddie Mumford #Z8.

Others that have been suggested by Bill Ganley are Jim Lawrence (red white and blue #23 car at the rear, George Amerman orange #39 coupe, Vic Gilbert #147 red coupe with white roof and truck, Fred Dmuchowski yellow coupe, Walt Emery #3 blue coupe with white and red on roof and possibly Les Katona, and possibly Gary Boekout.

Thanks for the recap Dave -

Folks really seem to like that picture.  It was a great time to be a fan at East Windsor Speedway.
