Here is the rest of the story.

Some people ask why the race will be on a Sunday, October 10th.

The last official night of the season (double points) is October 2nd.

If it rains on the 2nd, then the race will go to next weekend on the 9th.

Racing will be on the 9th and 10th.

Doing so makes it seem that any races if held on the 10th will not count for points.
