Howie...Correct..the big one where you flipped was in the spring of 1978, but it happened on April 15, 1978, not in March. The main reason I can always remember the date of Wayne Reutimann's crash was because it happened on Saturday April 15 and I got hurt at Flemington on the following Saturday. I felt so bad for Wayne that day--I thought he was dead or hurt really bad when I first walked up to his cageless car. The ironic part of feeling that way was that the following Saturday, I was the one that was almost dead and hurt badly.
