Message As is is good. I don't like the quote deal because the answers get lost in repeated quotes, a little confusing, plus I read it once, I don't need to see it again and again. Sorry Don!

Just bought the car? Maybe the last owner lost the keys and had a new ignition lock cylinder installed. If the battery goes dead you're screwed. Can you remove the door lock from the door? If so, take it to a locksmith who can make it fit the key for $20-$40. Or do that yourself by taking it apart and removing or rearranging the pins or wafers to match the key.
