Book Launch Set for Sunday, May 15

Billy Pauch is “The Last Cowboy” in Definitive Bio by Award-Winning Writer Buffy Swanson

On press now, THE LAST COWBOY: The Life and Times of Billy Pauch, the long-awaited biography of the legendary race car driver, is set to be released at a book launch on Sunday, May 15. The event will take place from 1–4pm at the Billy Pauch race shop, 611 County Road 519 in Frenchtown, NJ.

One of the most versatile and prolific drivers of his generation, Billy “the Kid” Pauch has taken down an incredible 744 wins to date, at 33 speedways dotting seven states, in Modifieds, Sprints, winged, wingless, on both dirt and asphalt—you name it.

Encompassing Billy’s entire career—from his dynamic debut in the mid ’70s to the current day—Pauch’s story is pieced together by those closest to him, pulling from almost 50 hours of candid interviews with his father Roy and other family members, car owners, crew and rival drivers. With their insider insights and astute observations the reader discovers not only what Billy did but who he is: the dead-eyed determination, the attitude, the anger, the injuries. What drove his success and why he refused to conform throughout his life.

The 278-page book features a foreword by Pauch’s friend and NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief Ray Evernham, and is illustrated by more than 250 images from some of the most celebrated photographers in the sport, including Jack Kromer, Mel Stettler, Ace Lane Jr., Bob Yurko, Ken Dippel, Dave Pratt, Mike Feltenberger, Bob Armbruster and many others.

For those unable to attend the launch and signing, the book can be purchased online at https://billypauchbook.com/ . Online orders will ship after the launch date.
