OCFS will be honoring Rich Eurich at their Nostalgia Night this Saturday. I knew Rich ran in the limited sportsman division at Harmony in 1970 so had to dig into my Harmony race results. Appears Rich was present for seven events that year between July 17 and September 4 and his results were impressive. Running in seven heat races, he had two wins, a second, three third place finishes and a sixth. In seven feature events, he had two thirds, a fourth, an eleventh, a thirteenth. On August 28 he finished third but was disqualified due to an engine technicality. The following week he won his heat but finished outside the top ten.

Most interesting to me was that Rich competed in the last modified division race held at Harmony on July 7, 1972. He finished fourth in his heat race and finished outside the top five in the 100-lap feature. Looking over the list of drivers who competed that night, he is the only one still racing fifty years later! An amazing career!
