Bill, you're correct, when they call a night for rain, it's a mad rush to the bar. One thing that has stayed consistant with Wall Stadium is, the partying. The 70's and 80's were crazy at Wall. John Blewett Sr owned the Edge of Town Bar in the 80's,  racer Rod Cunliffe owned The Cabin, and racer Goerge Andretta owns Pete and Elda's,  many late nights there after the races. There was never a shortage of bars near Wall Stadium. Now add in Mulligans, Woodys, and Tom's.  I remember a bunch of times it would rain out and we're in the bar and in comes the Flemington people that lived at the shore. Fun times!
