Was lucky enough to watch him weekly at Shangri-La.  Last race he ever ran there - 1985 Southern Tier 200 - he made an absolutely beautiful pass of George Kent to take the lead (eventually won).  Kept looking to the high side out of 2, George kept moving up to block the pass, went on for 5 or 6 laps.  Then faked going high and dove past George on the inside.  Set him up perfectly.   He wasn't just fast, he was calculating, and apparently there are dozens of stories untold for every one that was told about him after the races and away from the track.  Bones Bourcier's book is a great read.
