Not trying to be critacle in any way, but just trying to get history correct If I remember correctly MODCAR did not run injectors nor drag tires. In 1978 and 1979 Reading went to all carburators and had a 95 inch tire rule. At that time carburators were used at Nazareth, Middletown and Flemington  and as I remember we ran low profiles at all those tracks.. They ran the tri track series and we participated as a Nazareth team member and finished in the top ten in final points in 1979 as a Nazareth team member. I was the iniitial MODCAR VP of Public Relations and on the Board of Directors in 1980. MODCAR may have gone to larger tires after 1980 so I am not positive about that. But I cannot imagine everyone buying new motors for a weekly series. The initial MODCAR race was in Delaware and if you ran that day I probably signed you into the MODCAR sheet, so thanks for your participation in the series. I cannot find my folder on MODCAR meetings, etc, at the moment but if I find that my memory is not 100% correct I will let you guys know.
