Jim Wismer Sr. won a total of 24 limited sportsman features at Harmony Speedway, tied for the most wins with Pepe Fernandez. Jim had 1 win in 1965, 1 co-win in 1969 (with Charlie Gilmore, due to a scoring error), 1 win in 1970, 17 wins in 1971, 2 wins in 1972, and 2 wins in 1973. He was the limited sportsman points co-champion in 1970 with Pepe Fernandez, and the point champion in 1971.

Of note: the night of the final modified race at Harmony (July 7, 1972), Jim finished 5th in the 100-lap modified feature after finishing 4th in the 20-lap limited sportsman feature earlier that night. His total modified winnings were $490, his total limited sportsman winnings were $93.

(Special thanks to Jim's wife for providing me with copies of her thorough records of Jim's career at Harmony, a priceless addition to my Harmony memorabilia.)
