This could actually go the other way too... There are some cup drivers that probably are seeing how many "hungry" drivers are out there in undercard series/other that are ready to take their seat if something was to happen to them.  Chase Elliott is a former Champion and Alex Bowman has a few wins, but if you're a marginal driver, and get injured and someone else gets in your seat... it's gotta make you ask, was it worth it?

My thoughts are that Kyle Larson is a unique talent and maybe I have seen a grand total of 5 like him in my lifetime.  That's it.  Five.

Other cup drivers in similar equipment (Hendrick, other) are seeing him run Midgets, Sprints, Late Models and more, and thinking that is what is making the difference.  There egos are probably saying "If I ran a bunch of other races/vehicles, I will have the same results as Kyle Larson"... and they should have that attitude because if they don't, they probably shouldn't be racing at that level.

While risking their safety racing other series may help other drivers get better, it's not going to turn them into Kyle Larson.  He's just that good.
