Thanks to Phil Davis for identifying this photo. The driver is Howard Davis and the track was Delmar Raceway ( the original track on Rt. 54). This took place on Aug 16, 1951. The story in the Denton Md. paper said he went thru the 4th turn fence and clipped a light pole before coming to a stop.
