I think Wall did that with the Garden State Classic originally. You had to run there 3 times before you were allowed to enter the Garden State Classic. 300 laps 100 mile od Mod Madness.
There used to be a practice on the Tuesday night preceding the Classic.

Later the GSC became Open Comp. This is when Charlie J and Jimmy Spencer showed up!
