So sorry to hear of Billy Tanzosh's passing ...   My very first memory of him is from Middletown in 1961.  Limited Sportsman at the final 100 lapper of the season.  He was running his early square roof Chevy body car, which was different than most later body cars running.  The body and the 6cyl, GMC I assume was another difference.  To me, as a 13 year-old kid was the sound and big flame that shot out of it when he backed-off.  Most of the Limiteds were Flathead Fords and their pipes, usually a wired up gaggle of flex-pipe didn't do what the big 6-cyl header did.  I can still see the flash.  Great stuff!
