Bobby Thomas (IROC) bought one in 1969 or 70  and Buzzie drove it in the Eastern States and was leading and got a flat with two to go and I think ended up second.

Bobby Thomas' father passed and left this 19 year old money. Bobby went to East Windsor with a pocket full of money and basically pestered Buzzie into selling him his car. Buzzie refused til the number got to where he wanted it. Sold the car to Bobby and than asked him who he was going to get driver and Bobby answered "You".  Almost won the Eastern States that year. Jim Hoffman went on to race the car for Bobby.
