Look how cool Sammy Beavers looks holding a steady wheel inside the cockpit of the Norcia #81....  Doesn't get any cooler...  (It was impossible to go to Flemington and watch a Saturday night in the 70's and not feel like you had to go back every Saturday night from then on... dust or no dust...
