While traveling on the PA turnpike coming from the Reading Speedway going to our garage in Trenton, NJ in 1969 around 2 in the morning half asleep, I spotted a truck/trailer and racecar on the side of the road. I pulled over our race car #21 ramp truck and backed up around 50feet and there was the crew of Jim Foders #13 draining alcohol from the race car to put in the tow truck, they ran out of gas. We had extra gas can and helped them out. Next week Mr. Foder tried to pay me for the gas, I told him not necessary, racer's help racer's. Fred Menschner.
