RIP Pete Jackson  

I was fortunate to spend a lot of time working with Pete on the "7 Car" during the Kulwicki/ Bodine years. He was a no bullshit, hard worker and "good fun" kind of guy. If we raced a car and Bodine wanted to run it "next week" he was the one that got turned loose on it the moment it rolled off the hauler on Monday morning. He was a fabricator and besides his normal duties he built Geoff's seats. When the team was sold to Bodine he had Pete build a seat for him modeled after a Mark Donohue seat he had seen years prior. This is before Lajoie  started building seats which were basically the same, the driver had the shoulders wrapped instead of around the ribs. We worked together again at BACE Motorsports from 2000 to 2004.
