Any thoughts on a droop rule in the Modified Division? Or maybe it would be better to do what Grandview did by phasing out the left-side panhard setup?
"Over the weekend, Weedsport Speedway conducted an experiment with the big-block Modifieds by implementing a droop rule for all cars in competition.... In simple terms, the purpose of the rule and the reason for this past weekend’s test was to keep the cars from hiking up on the left side and rolling over onto the right rear side of the car as hard as they currently do.....
it was decided to run this experiment at Weedsport Speedway where there were no weekly points or series points on the line. “There’s been concern about the rubber floors on the cars, and how these cars are hooking up and twisting and all that stuff,” said DIRTcar Northeast Director Dean Reynolds. “The strain on the drivetrain, strain on the rear ends, and there’s been cracking on parts of the chassis and stuff like that. There’s just so much lean on the car and things like that. Drivers shouldn’t be worried that this rule is coming to fruition on a regular basis for any part of this year. It is in the early phases...
