This race rained out, actual opener was 4/29/72. I remember being with my dad at Matt McMann's garage in Pt Pleasant finishing the new #4 sedan and it snowed that night. Probably fortunate for them because it was pretty much a thrash to get the car finished for the opener, but when isn't that the case?
