Fred - You're forgettin' one thing....   It's not my job to post people's press releases for upcoming events, cancelled events, rescheduled events, or completed events.

Those tracks that want to speak directly to our site visitors are welcome to take that digital press release file that, as you correctly have pointed out, they have already created to send out via email, and post it directly to our board.  If the person doing the posting is logged in, they don't even have to wait for a moderator to approve it.

Thanks to copy and paste, it probably takes about 30 - 40 seconds total.

I took myself out of the business of posting upcoming event information about 10 years ago because we found that those that would email us upcoming event information would "forget" Undecided to email us when there was a change/cancellation/rescheduling, and I didn't like being put into the position of being expected to research each and every event (that had been referenced here on  our board) on the day of the event to see if it was still on or not, and then have to scurry to get something on the board so that folks would know it was cancelled.

Track representatives are welcome to post upcoming events as long as they consistently demonstrate the ability to be as equally diligent to post any changes/cancellations/other to events that they had used our board to help get the word out.

Or not....  It's up to them.

We appreciate those tracks/PR folks that like to get the word out directly to our site visitors, and we're happy to provide that ability for them in an easy, direct manner.
