Late models on dirt and asphalt were already getting weird around the same time. If it wasn't Syracuse in 1980 then someone somewhere in 81 or 82 at the latest was going to really read the DIRT rule book and go Full Send on the bodywork. It was going to happen so no reason to blame Weld and Balough.
