Adding my thoughts on B Foder's post above, I had as much interest watching going to watch Jimmy Blewett run sportsman at Wall as I would of had watching Kyle Busch run a truck race.  I'm not saying others should do it, but my move was just to find somewhere else to go/something else to watch, so I did.

TV/Streaming:

Watched Indy Qualifying and both Races from Iowa

Caught up on a bunch of Lucas Outlaw Late Model races and USAC/Tezo's/High Limits open wheel events on Flo Racing.  Watched (DVR'd) NHRA at Seattle.   Also watched the AJ Foyt "Legends of Racing" also on Flo.

DVR'd and watched the end of the cup race at Pocono.  Same ending as last year with Denny the Donkey wrecking somebody for the win.  Only this year he couldn't blame somebody for justifying what he did since Ross Chastain was nowhere near, so instead he denied that he did anything wrong.... perhaps not realizing that the race was being shown on TV, with multiple camera angles..., and that there were ten's of thousands of people in the stands who just witnessed his winning move.  I don't think anybody was buying what he was saying, so while Denny continues to find his way to victory lane, he also continues to lose more and more fans everytime he opens his mouth.  I think he's trying to be the new Dale Earnhardt Sr, but you can't fake cool... and you can't fake swagger, so even those who never liked Earnhardt Sr would probably agree that Denny should stop trying to take on that role... It's just of... well, awkward.  Look for a mustache, and a pair of Gargoyle sunglasses next...

Would have been interesting if the person doing the on track victory interview would have asked Denny, "Is there a reason why after doing your burnout, that you parked so close to the inside wall for this interview?"

Attended:  Heard that Jimmy Blewett was going to run sportsman at Wall, so made a late Saturday afternoon decision to go to New Egypt.

New Egypt - Attended as a fan in the stands.  Modifieds, 305 Sprints, Street Stocks, 4 Cyl's and a feature only for Crate Sportsman.

Liked:  Track surface excellent, good racing.  First race went green a little after 7pm, and the final checker waved around 10:30.  Nice, solid 3.5 hour show.  Good energy/Great atmosphere.  Possibly the best crowd that I've seen there for a Saturday night show in over a decade.

Suggestions:  Nothing new that I haven't offered up here before....

Going back within a month:  Yes.  If you haven't been to New Egypt yet this year, try to get to show and soon and see what you think.

Sunday: Billy Pauch Open House.  Great weather day to have the event - Saw a lot of people that  I hadn't seen in a long time.  Without the mall shows, and without a lot of us in general not getting out to as many things as in the past, it was a great day to see some great racing folks.  The event was well attended.  Saw Tommy Kosch, Nick Lombardi, Kenny Niece, and a bunch of other long time 3 Wider's.  Saw a lot of real happy folks carrying out cool race car panels after their winning #"s were called.  Thank you to The entire Pauch Family for having the hosting the event, and welcoming all.
