My favorite Al story comes 2nd hand from Rick Lewis 21 modified. There were 80-90 sportsman cars back in the day trying to make thefield. Rick said if Al broke in the heat you didn't want to miss that consi,the story was Al smeared grease on his rt.side tires trying not to catch the boards at Flemington.
